The Fairhope Film Festival was created to bring the best of the best in world cinematic culture to the region, to introduce Fairhope as a viable location for the film industry, to encourage Alabama filmmakers and to increase the state and local economy.

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, December 4, 2025

Prattville –

The City of Prattville will kick off the Christmas Season with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 4th at 7 p.m..  A special visitor will arrive immediately after the tree is lit, to listen to the wishes of all the little boys and girls and there is a 100% chance of snow. This event is free and open to the public.

Art Night, December 4, 2025

Northport –

This monthly event at Kentuck Art Center features exhibition openings and an artist reception. Both main galleries will be open to the public from 5-8pm. Resident artists will open their studios, the Red Dog potters will offer live demonstrations and a variety of other activities such as local pop-up shops, live music and pizza. This is a free event.

Whoville Celebration, December 6, 2025

Enterprise –

This annual celebration lasts from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with food, kids activities, vendors, shopping and more. Whoville is full of free activities for children to enjoy. Get your picture taken with the Mean One himself, Mr. Grinch. Enjoy train rides on the Boll Weevil Choo Choo, visit Cindy Lou Who’s Playland on South Main Street and if you would like to make a donation to the high school SGA, you can be transformed into a Whovillian by visiting the Who-Hair Station. There will also be a Pet Costume Contest and a Who Look-A-Like Contest. Visit the information tent located near the monument to register the morning of the event.
